Note, this movie takes place three years after the first movie, “The Haunting of Molly Hartley”.
Meet Molly Hartley. 24 years old, beautiful, and the youngest partner in the history of her firm. She has the perfect life, or so she thought. On the morning after celebrating her birthday, the police encounter a grisly murder scene in her lavish apartment. Molly recalls none of it, and after being arrested is sent to a Catholic mental health care facility, where odd things keep happening around her. She soon realises that not all is well with her…
In the same facility is a fallen priest, John Barrow, who was sent there after an exorcism he was involved with went horribly wrong. He soon realises that evil has entered this place, and that only he has the ability to drive off the evil.
He fights the evil that has possessed Molly, but faces some very difficult obstacles in the way of cleansing her.
This movie wasn’t particularly great, but was decent enough as a sequel and had a few interesting moments that were slightly different than your typical possession movie.
I give it a 5/10.
