If you’re in need of a fresh injection of controlled musical chaos then look no further than the Dead Cross’ new single, “Heart Reformer”. Thrashing, smashing, and jiving its way into your brain, the second single from their forthcoming album “II” is but a taste of the brilliance to come.
The SoCal band featuring Michael Crain, Dave Lombardo, Mike Patton, and Justin Pearson are all veterans of ass-kickery with a sound that echoes the shared disdain of a generation forgotten. Politically charged and heavily hardcore, this toe-tapping tune is the perfect thing to get the blood pumping after another mind-numbing day of eating shit for a living.
Directed and edited by Dark Details (a.k.a. Chris J. Cunningham), the video is a trip down insanity alley. Crain had this to say about the energetic single:

The album is born from the members’ collective friendship after Crain received a surprise Cancer diagnosis. “Words can’t even begin to describe how much this album means to me. It’s birthed of pain and uncertainty,” says Crain. The slow, excruciatingly painful, and nauseating recovery from cancer treatments was the catalyst for every riff and note on this album. However, my will to live and be with my brothers Justin, Dave, Mike, and co-producer Ross Robinson, got me out of bed and running into the studio every day to get it all on tape.”
Committed to creating slapping tunes, the band is releasing “II” on 28 October 2022 via Ipecac Recordings and it’s sure to be an absolute banger with its demonic drumming and ferocious frets. Check out the twisted tracklist below:
