Usually, it’s just us horror fundies that get invited to private screenings, film festivals, and hush-hush online events. We’ve just gotten word that this time an entire festival is going to be broadcast online so that all genre fans are going to be able to participate and not just us industry nerds.

I spent a few hours today watching the stream from the website and it was genuinely entertaining. It plays everything from 80’s greats to modern classics, not to mention an endless amount of glorious B-movies cheese. This article is totally a plug, but I felt that this was both a genuinely good concept and it sounds like an awesome event. Bringing film festivals to the masses is an awesome idea and I will be tuning myself to check out the winners. Most of the best, heartfelt horror contributions are found in events like this and I’d love for our readers to participate and be a part of a festival, albeit online. Also…it’s totally free.
