To kick off the Helsinki festival this past weekend, Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom invited 100 guitarists onto the stage to all perform a track written specially for the occasion.
There’s a whole clip of the live stream but I cued it up at the start of the guitar playing for your viewing pleasure.
In similar fashion, a drum teacher called Dino Verdade assembled 156 guitarists in Sao Paulo for Bateras 100% Brasil to perform AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long and Megadeath’s Symphony Of Destruction along with a live band featuring former Sepultura drummer Jean Dolabella.
I imagine that YouTube doesn’t do either of them justice, but plug in your headphones, sit back, and enjoy a virtual wall of sound. You earned it.
