In His third incarnation, Papa Emeritus III (the younger brother of Papa Emeritus II, by 3 months) arrives with the return of The Nameless Ghouls to rock more praises unto the Dark Prince himself.
While their previous two albums were brilliant, with their throwback sound and heavy undertones, Meliora brings the heavy in heavy metal back. Or at least it does for Ghost. With the soothing choral sounds, and the deep smooth organ instrumentals added, this album is slightly folkier in some aspects than their previous albums, but it doesn’t detract from the heavy groove they bring to the table. It’s definitely a winner in my book, and they are rising in the ranks of the metal world quickly.
